Kritik360

What is Kritik360

Kritik360 (often just called Kritik) is an AI-powered, peer-to-peer interactive learning platform used in higher education to build critical thinking and communication skills. It enables instructors to implement a 360-degree feedback loop where students create assignments, evaluate their classmates’ work, and provide feedback on the evaluations they receive.

What is the purpose of Kritik360

The purpose of Kritik360 is to improve higher education students' critical thinking, evaluation, and communication skills by shifting them from passive learners to active assessors.

By guiding students through a 360-degree feedback loop, where they anonymously create assignments, grade their peers' work using structured rubrics, and provide feedback on the evaluations they receive, the tool deepens their understanding of course material and helps them internalize grading standards. Ultimately, it aims to scale personalized, high-quality feedback in large classrooms while saving instructors significant time on manual grading.

How to use Kritik360

Kritik is available to Western faculty and students in OWL Brightspace. Through the OWL Brightspace integration, instructors can set up Kritik activities within their course modules. The integration automatically syncs class rosters and assignment scores directly into the OWL Brightspace course gradebook.

Once the course is connected with the OWL Brightspace course, the instructor can send out invitations to the Kritik site via Roster Sync.
