EndNote Basic is the free desktop version of EndNote - a reference management software.
What is the purpose of EndNote
As a reference management platform, EndNote Basic can be used for collecting, organizing, sharing, and formatting citations. Users can create personal libraries or group libraries to share citations with others.
How to use EndNote
EndNote Basic is a desktop application. Users create an account and login through myendnoteweb.com to access. Through the application, users can collect citations from a variety of sources, organize citations within their libraries, create bibliographies and in-text citations, and share collections with others through groups.
