Calendar Tool - OWL

What is the Calendar Tool

The OWL Calendar tool contains calendars and is used to organize tasks, events, or actions to notify students and worksite memebers of upcoming activities and dates.

Other OWL tools, such as Assignments, Elluminate Live! Bridge, and Tests & Quizzes, will also add events to the worksite calendar and appear in the Calendar tool.

What is the purpose of the Calendar Tool

The calendar tool is used to assist students and instructors in organizing and planning their time effectively. Instructors can post due dates or other significant events related to the course, and notify students about them with an email or an announcement.

The calendar tool can also schedule or remind users of upcoming activities related to classes and coursework (eg. tests, assignments, readings, special lectures, appointments with professors or department counselors, and other important tasks).

How to use the Calendar Tool

Within your OWL worksite, enable the Calendar Tool with the 'Site Info' page, by clicking the 'Edit Tools' link. The Gradebook tool is added to the left side of your OWL worksite.

Use the 'Add' button to add events to the calendar. Other OWL tools, such as Assignments and Tests & Quizzes, will also add events to the worksite calendar and appear in the Schedule tool.
